A spectacular 1950s hand painted Mexican circle skirt that is also heavily beaded along the edges of the design. The skirt is on a cream cotton base with the most amazing scenes that circle the entire skirt. The series of painting depict what appears to be a cock fight with a brilliant red painted background highlighting the drama of the scene. After the design was painted onto the skirt the edges were all outline by hand with beads most a jet black bead but also in blues and gold to match the other smaller designs. It is all hand painted and beautifully done. A very unusual piece and highly collectible too. Excellent condition Unlined and closes with a metal zipper and a button at the waist.
